Statement Of Purpose
'We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks for looking after my Mum. The care and love you give her is wonderful - you give her dignity and a purpose, and for that we will be eternally grateful.'
The G Family, Hoddesdon
Belmont View is a modern, purpose-built residential home providing care and support to 60 older people in Hoddesdon (near Hertford). Set in tranquil, well-maintained grounds, it was completed in 1996.
The gardens and duck pond at Belmont View are a source of particular pleasure for our residents and their visitors, many of whom have assisted in their planting and maintenance. There are raised flowerbeds which everyone can tend and enjoy.
We are divided into four units, one of which is devoted to those living with dementia. All rooms are single with en-suite facilities and come equipped with TV and phone sockets. Our three short-stay rooms also have a television. The home is wheelchair accessible and offers assisted baths and modern equipment to help with daily living.
We have a lively and well-equipped day care facility for local people and the home also provides meals-on-wheels to the local community. Our activities co-ordinators and care staff work hard to offer a programme of activities which we are extremely proud of. A hairdresser visits weekly and has the use of our fully equipped salon.
There is a church service held in the home monthly.
If you are interested in any of the services please feel free to ring the home directly. There is a Service Request form available to download in the ‘Families’ section of this site.
If you are specifically interested in short breaks, they are booked via Adult Care Services. Please speak to your social worker or phone the call centre on 01438 737400
