Courtland Lodge is a 60-bed home in North Watford, close to a small parade of shops with a post office and chemist.
Our home has four units, each with a lounge, dining room, kitchen and 15 single bedrooms with en-suite facilities, as well as a phone and TV socket. Three of our units admit people living with dementia and one unit is for those with higher care needs. We also offer four short-stay bedrooms equipped with a phone and television.
All equipment in the home is designed to make daily living easier for our residents, e.g. assisted baths and wheelchair accessibility. There is a communal sun lounge on the ground floor, leading to enclosed gardens, along with a 40s memorabilia room for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors.
Our Chef provides a choice of nutritious meals and can cater for special dietary needs. At the weekend, meals-on-wheels are produced for the local community.
We offer a range of activities on a daily basis including board games, discussion groups, hand care, music and movement – to name but a few. Theatre outings, pub lunches, picnics and shopping trips are also organised by the home and we have a library with a wide selection of large print books.
