Elizabeth has worked in residential care for 20 years. During this time she have taken up all opportunities to improve and build on her knowledge of care of older people. Her training includes NVQ4, the Registered Managers award, the BTEC Advanced Certificate in Care Supervision, NVQ2 Administration and Computer Skills, Intermediate Dementia Care, Dementia Care Mapper and in house trainer for Dementia Care, Fire, Food Hygiene and Emergency Aid.

Elizabeth has managed Hyde Valley House in Welwyn Garden City since August 2004. She is particularly passionate about providing quality care for the people in the home who live with dementia. She encourages the staff team to broaden their skills by attending a wide range of training courses in order that they can grow and develop into confident and dedicated carers.
