Minsden is a residential care home for 48 residents living with dementia, situated within walking distance of Hitchin Town Centre.

We make every effort to provide a comfortable environment for residents and whilst all our single rooms provide all the basic facilities they need – wash basin, television, call system and telephone port, we also encourage residents to personalise their accommodation. Bathrooms and toilets are also easily accessible.

Key workers are assigned to each new resident to help them settle in to their new home. We also recognise the need to keep relatives informed about residents’ wellbeing and always welcome visits.

Our Day Centre offers activities for older people from the local Asian community and we also have two short-stay rooms for people in need of a break. Hot, nutritious dishes from our kitchen are designed in collaboration with our residents and feature both Asian and British cuisine. We provide meals-on-wheels to the local community and accommodate special dietary needs.

Visiting Services:

• Hairdressing – twice weekly in our fully-equipped salon.
• Dentistry, Chiropody, Optical and Hearing Services on request.

Church services are held in the home fortnightly on a Friday.
