Mountbatten Lodge Regional Manager
Jeannie Conder
I have worked in Care for almost thirty years, I am a qualified Social worker and have a Diploma in Management Studies. I am a Manual Handling trainer and have experience in the delivery of various basic training subjects. In 2007 I trained to be a Dementia Care Mapper. This is a new method of evaluating care for people living with dementia and I am one of very few people in the country trained to use the method.
I began my working life in a high street bank. After marrying and having my first child, I began working in the evening as a care assistant in what was Wellfield Home and Hospital for Elderly Ladies. Over the years I have progressed from a Care Worker through the Care Manager role to Registered Home Manager and since 1998 have had the role of Regional Manager. I have also worked in and managed a Home Care service in the community. Over the years this grounding has given me an understanding of how processes within a Residential Home work and how problems can arise and be solved.
I am one of three Regional Managers who oversee 9 homes each within Quantum Care:
Beane River View
Bulwer Lytton House
Fourfields
Heath House
Jane Campbell House
