Newhaven has provided residential care for older people in Stevenage for over 30 years and accommodates 40 residents over three floors. The home is spacious and comfortable.

Each resident has their own furnished room equipped with a telephone, TV socket and call bell points, but it’s also possible for them to add a personal touch by bringing their own belongings (see the section on Valuables). In addition, there are seven lounge-dining areas, specialist bathing and toilet facilities and an enclosed garden which is particularly attractive.

Newhaven is registered to care for those living with dementia and is able to meet a wide range of care needs. Staff are on duty throughout the day and night and local doctors and community nurses will also attend as required.

• Chiropody.
• Hairdressing three days a week in our fully equipped salon.

Our staff run a busy programme of social activities including visiting professional entertainers. All activities are organised to meet the specific requests and interests of our residents.

The vicar calls every Monday and holds occasional services to celebrate religious festivals.
