At Quantum Care, one of our core values is that each and every employee is important. An organisation like Quantum Care depends on the dedication and commitment of the people who work here – both those who provide care to our residents and the people behind the scenes who make that care possible.
We believe that for our staff to really enjoy their role and provide the best possible care to our customers, it’s essential that they have the necessary skills, confidence and support. That’s why we take our training and support programme very seriously, and why we’ve enjoyed Investor in People status since 2001.
As soon as our staff begin work at Quantum Care, they have a comprehensive induction Programme, which provides them with all the underpinning skills and knowledge they need to do their job well. We then have an on-going programme of training and development to help them keep their skills up to date, as well as providing them with a real opportunity to develop a successful career in the social care sector.
We actively encourage all staff to undertake a relevant qualification and develop their skills, and have our own in-house assessment centre, which enables us to offer QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and the A1 (Level 3 Assessors Award), using workplace based assessors. We also offer a wide range of other vocational qualifications which are accessed via partnerships with external assessment centres. These range from first level care skills to management development training.
We are accredited by Hertfordshire County Council to provide Specialist Dementia Care, and all staff working with people who live with dementia are provided with relevant, ongoing training, which includes externally accredited qualifications.
