Welcome to Bushey District Q Club. Open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 3 pm, our Bushey Heath club offers day guests the opportunity to make new friends, whilst taking part in a choice of activities and outings.
At Bushey District Q Club you can take part in a wide variety of activities - from board games to bowls, darts to dancing, regular exercise classes, musical entertainment and themed events. Covid 19 restriction may limit these activities
During their day with us, all of our Q Club members also have access to a range of personal services, from hairdressing to chiropody, all from within a comfortable and homely environment.
Our Q Club Coordinator at Bushey District Q Club is Ingrid Lucas, and she would be delighted to welcome your family member into our Bushey Heath club.
Our club offers the perfect place to socialise with good company, and a hot lunch served daily.
The largest Quantum Care Day Centre, Bushey has its own building fully equipped with care facilities as well as its own garden which members are free to enjoy. The day centre is divided up into sections which members can go to depending on what kind of activity they want to take part in, these include reminiscence, a seated exercise area and a kitchen area for baking. Staff are on hand to support their members with whichever pursuits they are interested in and often hold group activities that bring everyone together. The group are very social and look forward to seeing one another for the days they attend and are always happy to welcome someone new to the club. Members often support each other with different activities and share their hobbies with each other, ensuring a very friendly and stimulating atmosphere throughout the day centre.
The large size of our day centre in Bushey Heath makes it ideal for those with mobility aids like wheelchairs as they can comfortably get around to enjoy the facilities and the specialist trained team are happy to support different levels of capacity. A hot lunch prepared by a professional kitchen team ensures that members’ nutritional needs are met while on-site hairdressing, bathing and laundry facilities allow personal care to be provided. Outside the home, members are welcome to make the most of the garden area as they like - whether that’s simply sitting out in the sun in the summer or planting their own flowers to decorate the garden. In addition, members often take trips out. Sometimes this can be an outing to the beach to enjoy some fish and chips and other times just a trip to a local garden centre for some tea and cake. The main aim of the staff at the day centre is to make sure that all of their members get the most out of their time with them. They get to know everyone that comes through their doors and form real friendships with them, which helps them to tailor their care and support to each individual.
