Welcome to The Mead Q Club. Open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, our Borehamwood club offers day guests the opportunity to make new friends, whilst taking part in a choice of activities and outings.
During their day with us, all of our Q Club members also have access to a range of personal services, from hairdressing to chiropody, all from within a comfortable and homely environment.
Our Q Club Co-ordinator at The Mead is Zara Moore, and she would be delighted to welcome your family member into our Borehamwood club. Zara says “We have a beautifully refurbished conservatory style Day Club with lovely views of the garden. We aim to provide a calming yet stimulating and safe environment for those who need it. It is closed off to the rest of the Home so remains unaffected by the busy reception and goings on at The Mead, and hosts a number of day trips to the pub, garden centres and more. Within the club our team organise a range of activities with arts and crafts, cooking, gardening and board games all on offer, and we make a point of celebrating special events such as Valentine’s Day”.

What our Q Club Members say...
“I like to come to the day centre for lots of chat, tea and biscuits. I also enjoy the dinners I get here. My favourites are the shepherd’s pie and fish and chips and it’s a treat to have pudding and custard. At the day centre I like crossword puzzles and playing bingo. I also enjoy reading the newspaper with everyone and discussing what’s going on in the world. Most of all, I like to see people and we always find something to make us all laugh!”
