Belmont View Extension Official Opening

On Friday 20th January residents and staff at Belmont View, our care home near Hoddesdon, held the official opening ceremony for the new extensions to the home. The opening was performed by the Mayor of Broxbourne (Councillor Eddy Rowland) and Charles Walker MP. Also present was Sarah Pickup, Director of Health and Community Services at Hertfordshire County Council and Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care. Both the Mayor and Charles Walker MP gave speeches during the official opening and visited residents while on their guided tour of the new care environment. The extensions comprise a 5 bed front extension to the home and a 2 storey 20 bed rear extension. The finish that's been achieved in these new extensions is exemplary, providing a contemporary, bright and comfortable environment. These facilities, along with the exemplary care delivered by Quantum Care, will provide much needed permanent and respite care for 25 older people within Hoddesdon and the surrounding areas. Maria Ball, Chief executive of Quantum Care said “this is a really exciting project and we are really pleased to be working in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council to provide such a high standard of accommodation for older people in Hoddesdon”. In the afternoon after the opening ceremony a number of care professionals and members of the public were given guided tours of the new living environment and the response was overwhelmingly positive. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the Mayor and to Charles Walker MP for agreeing to open the extensions and for enjoying a wonderful morning with the residents and staff at Belmont View.
