Dunstable Mayor Performs Topping Out ceremony at new Quantum Care Home

29 August 2014

Yesterday, Town Mayor Councillor Terry Stock performed the Topping Out ceremony at Dukeminster Court. Along with Chief Executive Maria Ball, the brave Mayor was lifted to the top of the building to place a roof tile on the end gable. The ceremony was watched from the ground by the Mayoress, representatives from Central Bedfordshire Council, staff from Quantum Care and members of the construction team including ISG builders and architects RDT Design. After the ceremony was over, the visitors had a chance to have a tour of the new home, which enabled everybody to see just how fantastic the home will be when finished.

The Mayor said that he was delighted that there would be a new care home for older people in Dunstable and that he was very much looking forward to seeing the finished building in early 2015. Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said “this is our first home in the Central Bedfordshire area and is a really exciting project. We are really pleased to be working to provide such a high standard of accommodation for older people in the Dunstable area”.
