Fantastic Donation for Silver Wishes

Fantastic Donation for Silver Wishes Campaign from the Home Counties Association of Spiritual Healers. Paula Staniford and Karen Lawman from Stevenage-based Home Counties Association of Spiritual Healers came to Jubilee Court care home to meet some of the residents and to present Donna Steeden, Support Services Manager with a cheque for £500 to help make wishes come true for residents. Paula and Karen heard about the Silver Wishes campaign when they were asked if they could fulfil a wish. One of the residents in a Quantum Care home had made a wish to have a spiritual healing session. Paula and Karen were contacted by Donna and immediately agreed to help. They organised a visit to the resident at the home and were able to work with the resident to improve his spiritual well-being. Karen said “When we heard about the wish, we knew we wanted to help. It is a great idea and we saw first- hand the joy it can bring to residents. We decided then that we wanted to be able to support the company to make more wishes come true so asked our members to help us make the donation”. Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said “we are so grateful for this wonderful donation and would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Home Counties Association of Spiritual Healers . This has been a wonderful campaign, with wishes being granted from sending a resident to a Manchester United football game, a spectacular French gastronomy experience donated by Café Rouge (complete with a chauffeur driven limousine) to meeting some of the Dancers from Strictly. As a not for profit organisation, we could not have achieved so much without the help and support from our wonderful local communities, with local people and businesses contributing everything from transport, meals and free day trips. It is initiatives such as these that make Quantum Care the unique organisation that it is and contribute to us being named second top care company in England for the quality of care we deliver in our care homes”. Along with this wonderful donation, Quantum Care Head Office, raised a staggering £560 by having a race night with Fish and Chips to raise money for the residents.
