Heath House Hanukkah Celebration

With all that went on around Christmas, we unfortunately missed a great story from Heath House: their Hanukkah celebration. Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights in Judaism and remembers the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. In 2016, it was celebrated on Friday 27th December and at Heath House Jewish residents all invited their families into the home to mark the occasion. One read the traditional prayer in Hebrew, followed by Jewish music and some not quite traditional snacks of tea and donuts! Now the home’s Jewish residents are looking forward to Purim in March, we’ll be sure to let you know what they get up to!
