Sad Farewell to Sue Harrison

Yesterday we said a very sad farewell to a much loved and respected member of staff. Sue Harrison, our Head of Learning and Dementia Development retired after 27 years of service with Quantum Care, having previously begun her career in care in 1977 with Hertfordshire County Council.

Colleagues and friends came from across the organisation to honour Sue with a retirement party, where she was presented with cards, flowers and gifts. Wanda Spooner, Director of HR and Learning and Development, made a speech on behalf of the whole of Quantum Care. She said “Sue has a gift; she inspires people, she gives them confidence and belief, and with that they go on to get those qualifications they never thought were possible and to take that next step on the career ladder and get that job they never thought they could. In my opinion, it is a gift that is as rare as it is special and Quantum Care has been incredibly fortunate to have had it in its midst for the last 27 years”.

Sue leaves Quantum Care with our gratitude, our respect and our love, and we extend our very best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
