Special Guests at Meresworth!

Meresworth residents were delighted to be joined by a group of donkeys recently as part of their holiday-themed July and August! Many residents remember donkey rides on the beach and a few come from farming backgrounds and kept donkeys themselves so they were very popular visitors. In keeping with the holiday feel, the home was decorated with a seaside theme including a beach in the garden! The aimed-for Rhythm of Life outcome at the time was engagement and the response from residents when the donkeys arrived shows that it was definitely achieved. The donkeys went upstairs to visit residents who couldn’t make it down to say hello (although getting them back downstairs was a little tricky!) and the emotional response from both residents and staff was absolutely fantastic!
