Walk for Love at Beane River View

On Thursday 23th June staff and relatives of Beane River View, our care home in Hertford, took part in a sponsored walk around Hartham Park. This walk was held in memory of Linda Hobbs, a Care Team Manager at Beane River View who died recently from cancer. Linda started work at the home in May 2010 and soon became a valued member of staff. She leaves a partner and two sons who she was very proud of. We will miss Linda very much; she was extremely well liked and respected and very brave throughout her illness. The Walk for Love raised over £700 for Cancer Research UK. On 16th August 2011 Victoria Gilham, Area Volunteer Manager for the charity, was presented with the cheque by members of staff at Beane River View. Also present were Linda's two sons and Quantum Care's HR Director, Wanda Spooner.
