Diwali at Fosse House

Fosse House celebrated Diwali last night, decorating the sun lounge along the ‘Festival of Light’ theme for 2 of their residents and their families. They brought out samosas, pakoras and Indian sweets and had Bangra music playing. The evening was wrapped up with a fireworks finale for the residents and their families. It was a truly lovely night with one of the resident’s wives saying “out of all the Diwalis I have celebrated, I will remember this one the most, thank you all”.

Pride of Stevenage Awards

On Saturday 14th October, two of Jubilee Court's staff members were privileged to be invited to The Pride of Stevenage Awards Reception held by The Mayoress of Stevenage. Angela Travis was invited along for her voluntary work with Hampson Park where she helps with the planning of events; Ian Chambers was invited in connection with his work at Jubilee Court. Both enjoyed watching singing and dancing by local children followed by a delicious two course meal. The event finished off with awards to people and groups who had made exceptional contributions to our community.
