On Saturday 14th October, two of Jubilee Court's staff members were privileged to be invited to The Pride of Stevenage Awards Reception held by The Mayoress of Stevenage. Angela Travis was invited along for her voluntary work with Hampson Park where she helps with the planning of events; Ian Chambers was invited in connection with his work at Jubilee Court. Both enjoyed watching singing and dancing by local children followed by a delicious two course meal. The event finished off with awards to people and groups who had made exceptional contributions to our community.
Wishing a happy birthday to Claire from The Fairway! Claire celebrated on Friday with a circle dancing session and delicious birthday cake. Everyone enjoyed the music, dancing and of course, the cake!
This event gives industry professionals the opportunity to look around Anson Court, the newest care home in Welwyn Garden City, have any questions answered about the home or Quantum Care and to enjoy a demonstration of the virtual reality technology now in use in several Quantum Care homes.

Belmont View residents have been getting creative again with their abstract Fluid Art! They’ve made some beautiful pieces and are very proud of their achievement!
Fosse House activity worker Zoe and carers from Dove Unit took their residents to the garden centre where they enjoyed a cup of tea in the café and a look around the butterfly section! It was a huge hit, especially with Eric who was very pleased with his new, winged friend!

The ladies at Dukeminster Court held their Wear it Pink day today, raising £30 for Breast Cancer Now!

The ladies and gentlemen at Hyde Valley House enjoyed another fantastic performance from Michael Maisey! He’s a firm favourite in the home and never disappoints!
The Raptor Foundation visited Nevetts with 4 of their birds recently and everyone was delighted to hold two of the owls: Goliath (the smallest!) and Minnie. Minnie gave a demonstration, flying over people’s heads which got everyone excited and was followed by a few short flights from Jen the Harris Hawk, wrapping up a brilliant day for the residents!
