Mel and Karen from Pinewood Lodge have been putting their training into practice by running regular one to one Namaste sessions for residents who are cared for in their room. They were excited by the way individuals have responded to these sensory sessions, as they engaged with the activity and visibly relaxed. For each resident, they have built up a folder with individual assessments and a personalised folder of reminiscence materials. These include discs of favourite music, photos etc for people to engage with and enjoy.
