Beane River View had a boxing coach come into the home to hold a class to help raise money for the minibus fund! The weather unfortunately kept a few attendees away but those who made it had a fantastic time, including two residents who loved getting active and trying something new!
Vesta Lodge residents got stuck into something new with their chocolate making activity! They melted down different chocolates and made some delicious mixes with white and milk chocolate. They had a lot of fun experimenting and even more tasting their inventions!
Soon after Joe moved into Fosse House, the team learned that he has a degree in Hospitality and Catering and used to work as a chef in Bermuda! So when he asked if he could cook himself beef stroganoff for dinner, they were only too happy to help and were very impressed at the delicious end result!
When a family member told Jubilee Court that they could put on a show for the residents, they had no idea just how good they would be! Smalltown entertainment sang a range of songs from the 50s and 60s which quickly had the residents up and dancing in the aisles!
Dukeminster Court residents enjoyed a fantastic cheese and wine tasting session as part of Nutrition and Hydration Week in the home. Everyone had a lot of fun and they were quick to come back for a second ‘taste test’ on their favourites!
Providence Court are happy to welcome two pairs of budgies to the home! The residents named the pairs Romeo and Juliet and Sunny and Skye. Romeo and Juliet were named because they never leave each other’s side while Sunny and Skye are very lively and chatty!
Families came into Beane River View to celebrate Mothers’ Day together on Sunday with a wonderful afternoon tea! It was a lovely afternoon which the residents really enjoyed!
Pinewood Lodge residents celebrated Mothers’ Day with a morning of tea and scones followed by some fantastic entertainment from Amie Clapson! They were joined by members of their day centre and together they loved singing along with Amie. They all agreed that she has a beautiful voice and they’ve looking forward to her return!
For Mothers’ Day, the activities team at Vesta Lodge put cupcakes into boxes they had handmade and labelled with the residents and took them around to everyone. It was a lovely day which everyone enjoyed and they were all delighted with their gift!
Families were inviting along to Tye Green Lodge for Mothers’ Day for tea, coffee and cakes with their loved ones. The posh cups and saucers were brought out and the beautiful flower displays put on the tables for the special day!
