Anson Court's trip to Clacton-on-Sea

On Monday 10th June, 6 residents ventured to Clacton-on-Sea for a 4-day stay by the beach. After leaving in the rain in Welwyn Garden City, we arrived to more pleasant sunny weather in Clacton. When we arrived, we enjoyed a nice carvery, before going to play bingo. We came very close to winning!

The next day, we woke up to see that the sun was shining, and so we went to the pier. Everyone enjoyed ice-creams and cream teas, before we decided to walk down and sit by the beach. Whilst at the beach, we flew kites, and even caught a crab! We then went for some dinner, before retiring back to the caravan. Everyone was exhausted after a fun, warm and sunny day!

On the Wednesday, we all enjoyed going to Walton-on-the-Naze, spending time on the pier and in the arcades – lots of prizes were won! We also enjoyed a ride on the carousel. That evening, we all enjoyed fish and chips back in our caravan - not forgetting the mushy peas!

On our final day, we enjoyed breakfast, before heading off in the rain. On our way back, we stopped halfway and all enjoyed a nice cake and a cup of tea. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we look forward to going again next year!
