Belmont View Dementia Care Awards

The second of our finalists at tonight’s Dementia Care Awards is Belmont View who, with their partners Tribemix, are hoping to receive the Outstanding Dementia Care Innovation Award for their work introducing 3D and augmented reality technology (Virtual Reality) into dementia care! This technology is excellent for allowing residents to reminisce or visit places they may otherwise not be able to like other countries as well as offering all-round sensory stimulation. The experience of being immersed in an activity they may otherwise be unable to do, like swimming, is invaluable to residents and can make a real difference to their quality of life while receiving dementia care.
