The home charged a small fee at the door, and asked people to bring their own drinks, picnics and something to sit on with the promise that they would entertained for four hours. To start the afternoon off there was a young performer from The St Albans Majorettes who gave an outstanding solo performance. Following this, the crowd were entertained by Thai Chi experts Sally and Erik Golding. They put on a demonstration of Thai Chi Movements and a display using martial arts, swords and fans. Michael Maisey then sang for an hour and residents, relatives and staff all joined in. Next up was the New Testament Church Gospel group, who gave a rousing performance. The finale was a concert from the St Albans Operatic Society who sang songs from their next show The Follies which is due to be seen at the Alban Arena in October. Alongside the entertainment were a Pimms tent, a cupcake and cake stall, vintage crafts, sewing crafts and an arts and crafts stall. There was also a raffle with prizes donated by families and friends of Fosse House. All in all, it was a fantastic day and a total of £400 was raised.
