Garden City Court wins at the Vegetarian for Life Awards!

VFL

2022 marks the sixth anniversary of the Vegetarian for Life Awards, and Garden City Court, Quantum Care’s home in Letchworth, are no stranger to these particular awards. In previous years the home has topped their category by creating a magnificent soya based curry with black lentils and potato croquettes and this year, Garden City Court have done it again with the home’s Chef Manager, Satpal Kambo, being nominated in the most innovative vegetarian dish category.

On the 23rd November Satpal attended the Vegetarian for Life Awards ceremony which was held within the Jubilee Room at the Houses of Parliament. We’re proud to say that her take on Dhokla, a dish native to the Indian state of Gujarat, served with a mint chutney and finished off with a mango mousse, took first place in its category. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Satpal for her hard work and dedication to her residents and to her success in these awards!

Vegetarian cuisine is an increasingly important aspect of the menus we design here at Quantum Care, which always reflect the needs and desires of the residents within our homes, so it’s great to see recognition for the skills of one of our Chef Managers in this area. Congratulations once again to Satpal Kambo on her thoroughly deserved win!
