Greenacres Chef Lisa bravely shaves hair off in support of cancer charities

Last night Lisa Humphreys, Chef Manager at Greenacres, our Hatfield care home shaved her hair off to support the children’s cancer charity Little Princess and Cancer Research, and this was no small feat for her!

Lisa has always had long hair, but following a family member’s diagnosis of breast cancer recently, and after losing other family members to cancer, Lisa wanted to do something herself to make a real difference to the charities which are so close to her heart.

Lisa bravely shaved her hair off at Greenacres with the support of colleagues, family and friends, including Mum Sue Humphreys and Grandmother Cynthia Kennelly who also both work at the Home. Cynthia has worked in care for over 40 years and during this time she has also organised numerous fundraising events and activities at the Home.

So far Lisa has raised over £1,300 with further donations still coming in - we are all extremely proud of her.

If you would like to support Lisa and make a donation you can do this through her Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/Lisa-HuMphreys4 or by contacting her at Greenacres on 01707 280500 or email Greenacres@quantumcare.co.uk
