A Jolly Holly Christmas for Quantum Care Residents!

On the 3rd December we held our Residents’ Christmas Party within the beautiful marquee on the Knebworth House Estate in Hertfordshire. Over 300 residents and staff from across our care homes attended this annual event which had a very special ‘Jolly Holly’ theme this year. As guests arrived they were greeted with a winter pimms or bucks fizz, before being led into the starlit marquee, where lunch was served. Guests enjoyed a traditional Christmas meal followed by Christmas pudding, and just as the homemade Christmas cake was served we were delighted to have a group of local school children join us to perform a special carol concert for our residents. The children, who were from Larwood School which neighbours our Stevenage care home sung beautifully, and got quite a round of applause from the audience. After everyone had finished a delicious meal the raffle winners were announced, with each of our Homes receiving some fabulous prizes which were kindly provided by our generous sponsors; and just after the final prize was delivered the afternoon’s musical entertainment commenced. With a wide range of live music provided by Tim Franklin the dance floor was soon packed, until the party was brought to a close with a festive performance from the Silver Court Choir. The choir, which is made up of staff from Quantum Care’s Head Office, closed the event with a rousing performance of ‘We Wish You A Holly Christmas!’ – in keeping with the event’s special theme. It was a fantastic afternoon in beautiful surroundings which we look forward to every year, and marks the beginning of many festive celebrations within Quantum Care Homes this month.
