Quantum Care Community Challenge Competition Ends

Quantum Care Community Challenge

Our month-long Community Challenge, which ran during October, saw all 22 of our care homes attempt to complete 15 challenges, each of which was designed to encourage the building of stronger connections between their residents and the communities within which they live.

It was an absolutely wonderful month full of activity, with residents and staff venturing out into their communities from multiple homes on a daily basis in an attempt to complete one or more of the challenges. Their homes were also visited by a significant number of local community members including local school children, cubs and scouts, celebrities, mayors, MPs and other dignitaries.

Our staff teams did a fabulous job with each and every home pulling out all the stops! Well done to you all; you really did your residents proud!

In total 16 of our homes managed to complete all 15 of the challenges which is absolutely incredible as many of the challenges required significant effort and planning. So the competition goes down to the tiebreaker events completed by each home. These will be judged by a panel consisting of members of Age Uk Hertfordshire, to whom we are very grateful.

The 16 homes that completed all challenges are: Anson Court, Beane River View, Belmont View, Courtland Lodge, Fosse House, Garden City Court, Greenacres, Jubilee Court, Mantles Court, Mayfair Lodge, Meresworth, Mountbatten Lodge, Oakmoor Lodge, Providence Court, Tye Green Lodge and Willow Court.

Again, well done to everyone who took part in the Community Challenge including our residents, staff members and, of course, the members of our local communities who welcomed everyone from Quantum Care with open arms and an eagerness to help. You’re all superstars!
