Significant Milestone Reached in Development of Oakmoor Lodge, Bushey

Oakmoor Lodge Milestone

On Wednesday 28th April 2023 the Mayor of Hertsmere Councillor Anne Swerling was joined by Councillor Laurence Brass, Maria Ball, Quantum Care’s Chief Executive and Nigel Berney and Guy Harman, Co-Founders of NL Property to perform a topping out ceremony for our new care home for older people in Bushey.

The ceremony marked the completion of a significant stage in the construction of Oakmoor Lodge, our new care home which will serve the local Bushey community. The home is situated on London Road and is being developed on the site that had been occupied by the previous Bushey Medical Centre.

On completion of the ceremony both the Mayor and Councillor Brass were given a tour of the home, which is still under construction, and shown around the various internal areas that the home will offer its residents.

When complete, Oakmoor Lodge will provide first class residential and dementia care for up to 72 local older people within a contemporary care home setting and will also provide rewarding employment and training opportunities to local residents. The home will offer fully furnished en-suite bedrooms to its residents as well as a cinema, hair and beauty salon, café, sociable lounges and dining areas.

Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said "We are really pleased to be opening a new care home in Bushey this year, and were delighted that the Mayor and Councillor Brass were able to join us for the ceremony. Oakmoor Lodge has been designed to reflect the rich history of the Bushey community, with the Arthouse café being a focal point of the home and featuring work by local artists. It will be a home to be proud of and we look forward to welcoming new residents when it opens later this year".

The new home is scheduled to open in September this year. For more information about the home, please contact us on 01707 393293. For employment opportunities please visit www.quantumcarejobs.co.uk
