Sir Oliver Heald MP opens new Letchworth Care Home

The new care home in Whiteway, just off Radburn Way will provide much needed contemporary living spaces for older people in the local area. [[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"2934","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-11384","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"550","height":"366","title":"Garden City Court","alt":""}}]]The 75 bed home features the Quantum Care Plaza which includes a Best Friends Café, hairdressers and cinema, as well as five beautifully designed lounge/diners, each with its own kitchenette, helping to reflect a domestic environment. The ceremony was also attended by senior representatives from Hertfordshire County Council and Quantum Care, as well as pupils and staff from nearby Woolgrove School, who have been regular visitors to the Home during the build process. Following this, entertainer Will Smith performed for our residents in the Home’s new cinema room. The Home’s opening coincided with the birthday of one of our new residents, Nellie, who was presented with a cake as guests wished her a happy birthday. Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said “we are absolutely delighted to open Garden City Court and look forward to providing such a high standard of accommodation for older people in Letchworth”.
