Testimonial For Willow Court / Mr W, Letchworth

Dear Sirs, I have recently spent ten weeks at Willow Court in Harpenden recuperating after major surgery. I had lost several stones in weight during my ten weeks in hospital and illness prior to being admitted .... I am writing this because I am well aware that care homes get an awful lot of bad press which, from my experience, is totally unfounded. Because of the bad press my first day here was a little worrying, absolutely no need, the carers were incredible. I was learning how to cope with the loss of a limb and I was given excellent support both mentally and physically. On a couple of occasions when I got down and depressed the carers would spend time with me. Although I could eat in my room I was encouraged to use the dining room which gave me contact with other residents and I really enjoyed taking part in the activities organised by the two Jennies. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent; wholesome home cooked food and I'm afraid I gained nearly two stones in weight. Tea, coffee and snacks were plentiful between meals. The management team provided seamless care, they never failed once to organise medication or transport and are very definitely a credit to Quantum Care. The most impressive is always left until last; the care workers are absolutely brilliant. No matter what the difficulties they still smile and offer a kind word. They do indeed have the patience of Jobe. Please pass this on to all of your excellent staff at Willow Court. Mr W
