On 22nd October, residents and staff from Beane River View visited Hertford Castle for a tea party hosted by the Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Steven Watson.
This annual event, while having a well-established history, is a modern tradition rather than a decades-old one and is part of the mayor’s community engagement initiative, evolving over time with different mayors putting their unique touches on the event.
The event was supported by local businesses who provided cakes and treats for the guests as well as raffle and bingo prizes.
The residents enjoyed both the raffle and the bingo and loved the tea and treats they were served. The historic surroundings within the castle were beautiful and it was the perfect venue for such a wonderful event.
