Maria Ball has lived in Hertfordshire for many years and has a background that crosses the public and private sectors. She has considerable experience of managing organisational change and development programmes, having run a national social care/special needs management consultancy for 8 years, working successfully with a wide range of organisations.
Maria has also been Chief Executive/Director of a number of national charities and joined Quantum Care from the Metanoia Institute, a national education training institute for psychotherapy and counselling, where she was Chief Executive. Maria also has extensive Chair and Non-Executive Director experience in the public and charitable sectors.
John has been a qualified accountant for over 30 years, working at a senior level for the past 15 years across the care sector, including not for profit companies, charities and the public sector. Part of these roles has been to oversee a number of major strategic change management programmes, including implementation of companywide electronic data collection systems and the review of financial information presented at board meetings.
Working within a values based, people-centred organisation is an important priority for John and therefore he is delighted to have joined Quantum Care at a time of significant change and opportunity within the care sector.
Wanda Spooner has over 30 years of experience as a HR generalist working in the not-for-profit sector. During her career she has worked in a variety of organisations including the National Association of CAB, MENCAP, the Fremantle Trust and Centrepoint, Soho.
In 1998 she became a trustee for Pohwer, a Hertfordshire based charity that provides advocacy to users of services and was the Chair of Pohwer’s board of trustees until retiring from the position in 2011.
Wanda has always enjoyed working for organisations that have a strong people centred ethos and culture.
Stewart has over 30 years of experience within the adult care sector, working for both commercial and charitable organisations. He began his career as a Care Assistant and has since worked up to management and now executive positions and brings with him the valuable experience of the care sector at all levels. During his career, Stewart has worked in a variety of organisations including The Abbeyfield Society, BUPA and St John Care Services.
He has a strong ability to drive excellent quality services, guided by the people who use them and brings focused business and financial skills as well as enthusiastic leadership to his role at Quantum Care.
