Mountbatten Lodge, our care home in Hemel Hempstead, has received an Excellent rating after a recent inspection by their Local Authority.

The Local Authority uses a process that helps them to consistently measure the quality of a service that they use and this generates a PAMMS (Provider Assessment Market Management Solution) report that grades various aspects of the home.

Mountbatten Lodge received either an Excellent or a Good rating in all measured categories resulting in an overall Excellent rating.

Emily Johnston-Burrows, the acting home manager said “As the acting home manager this news honestly means the world to me. Stepping into this role, I hoped to help keep things running smoothly, but what I found was a team that is not only dedicated and skilled, but genuinely passionate about the care they provide every single day.

During her visit, the monitoring officer noticed the strong relationships between staff and residents, the attention to detail in our care planning, ways we go above and beyond for our residents, and the warm, supportive environment we’ve all worked hard to create. To have all of that acknowledged with an Excellent rating is something we are all really proud of.

I personally want to say a heartfelt thank you to every member of my team. Your kindness, hard work, and commitment doesn’t go unnoticed, and this achievement is down to each and every one of you.

This is a fantastic achievement and confirms something that I’ve always known since working at Mountbatten Lodge, that the residents really are at the heart of all we do.”
