Quantum Care Awards 2024
We’re extremely pleased to announce that this year marks the return of the Quantum Care internal care awards which will see us celebrate the outstanding contribution of individuals to the many different areas of care that make up life within a Quantum Care home.
The seven categories in these awards are:
- Caterer of the Year - only residents, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Housekeeper of the Year - only residents, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Community Champion - only residents, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Rhythm of Life Dementia Care - only residents, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Carer of the Year - only residents, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Leadership - only residents, external professionals, relatives and other visitors can nominate
- Outstanding Contribution - only staff can nominate
Nominations in any of these categories should be for an individual.

Category Descriptions
Caterer of the Year Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award will recognise an individual who provides homemade, nutritious, appetising and well-presented food which is consistently well received by residents. Their contribution to the dining experience within the home should significantly exceed expectations of their role and they should be proactive in individualising their service to meet residents’ needs. They should also actively encourage and take part in catering events as well as special events that celebrate individual residents.
Housekeeper of the Year Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award will be presented to an individual who delivers excellent standards of cleanliness and tidiness within the home. Someone who takes pride in the residents’ living environment as well as the day-to-day working environment. They should strive to consistently meet and exceed the highest standards of housekeeping for residents. This individual should also promote excellent infection control practices.
Community Champion Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award will recognise an individual who has made an exceptional effort to raise the awareness that their local community has of their home.
Rhythm of Life Dementia Care Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award is for an individual who can demonstrate that they are following the principles of outstanding dementia care, going above and beyond the expectations of their role.
Carer of the Year Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award recognises an individual who demonstrates exceptional care, consistently going above and beyond in their day-to-day role as a carer.
Leadership Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from residents, professionals, relatives and other visitors to the home.
This award recognises an inspirational manager who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, bringing out the very best in their colleagues.
Outstanding Contribution Award
This award is for an individual. Nominations will be accepted from Quantum Care team members only.
This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to what we do as an organisation. This contribution can relate to a resident or residents, one or more of our homes, our team members or to the wider company.
