    Meet our team

    Sherrie Wilkinson

    Home Manager

I have worked for the care industry for many years and have undertaken training in management and leadership to improve my knowledge and skills and to develop into a deputy manager. I train staff to enable them to enhance their knowledge and skills, and I also champion staff as I believe there is always room for more development, to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care. It is very important to me that I develop good relationships with residents, staff, relatives and others as we all aim for the same goal, for our residents to be happy, safe and cared for to the highest standard.

    Tessa Adulaja

    Tessa Adulaja

    Chef Manager

The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.

    Housekeeping Manager

Keeping the team of Housekeepers running as it should is the Housekeeping Manager. Supervising and organising their teams is just part of their role as these managers work alongside their team to keep the home clean and inviting. The team play an important role in maintaining our infection prevention and control standards to make sure our residents stay safe and well.

    Administrator

I have worked as an administrator for over 20 years in various sectors. I have my NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Business Administration and an NVQ Level 2 in using IT. This is my first time working in a care setting and I love that I can use my many varied administration skills to help residents, families and all my colleagues in the day to day running of the home. I look forward to learning new skills and having many new experiences at Tye Green Lodge.

    Kelly Van Rooyen

    Receptionist

The receptionist plays a key part in keeping the home operating as it should. The role involves everything from dealing with phone enquiries to showing around prospective residents. Organisational and communication skills are a must for a receptionist as it’s these qualities that allow them to make life in the home easier for their colleagues and residents. Often the first person you’ll speak to when you come to the home, the receptionist represents the company with a professional manner, friendly approach, and commitment to high-quality care.

The care given to mum has been excellent in all aspects. My mum has settled in fully and frequently says how good the staff are to her, how great the food is and how happy and fortunate she is to be at Tye Green Lodge. Our whole family has always felt welcome when visiting mum at the home. I am a very frequent visitor, arriving at different times of the day and sometimes in the evening and I am always welcomed. Tye Green feels like a home and most definitely is not an institution; there is a strong undercurrent of care running through the home - nothing is ever too much trouble. It is so reassuring for us to know that mum is very well looked after and for mum to feel safe and happy.

When I first visited Tye Green one evening in early February last year I felt a warmth that was hard to describe – it just felt the right place for our mum. I have never run a care home but I could take a guess at how difficult it is to get it right. But it’s not all about hitting targets and winning awards, it’s about that warmth and care that comes across when you see someone talking to your mum and the warmth you see in her eyes when she looks back. We feel very lucky that we found you and that our mum was blessed by your care and affection.
