Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Opens Riverside Lodge Care Home

Riverside Lodge Ribbon Cutting

Robert Voss Esq CBE, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire opened Riverside Lodge, our new care home in Rickmansworth on Thursday 23rd May. This luxury home is situated on Church Street close to the iconic Church of St. Mary.

The opening ceremony, which was also attended by Councillors Paula Hiscocks and Sarah Nelmes, representatives from Hertfordshire County Council and Quantum Care, marked the official opening of the home which has already received its first residents.

The Lord Lieutenant gave a short speech at the start of proceedings, after which a ceremonial ribbon was cut by Iris, one of the residents at the home. Mr Voss then spent time in the home’s café chatting to a number of the residents and team members, after which he toured the home.

The celebrations carried on into the afternoon, with a party for the home’s residents and their families. They had a delicious afternoon tea while a live entertainer performed a number of popular songs, which were very well received.

Maria Ball, Quantum Care’s Chief Executive said “We are extremely grateful to the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire for attending our special day at Riverside Lodge.  We were delighted to be able to show him our beautiful new home”.

Riverside Lodge brings the very latest in luxury care home living to Rickmansworth and includes 75 en-suite bedrooms, many of which open onto their own patio areas. It also includes a cinema, a hair and beauty salon and a number of luxury lounges and dining rooms. The large café within the home provides a social space for residents, their families and their friends.
