Nothing says it’s summer like a Beach party and residents and staff of The Mead in Borehamwood hosted their very own Summer beach party and Barbeque on Saturday 12th August.

In July, residents from 4 local Quantum Care homes were invited to attend a performance of The Lion King by St John’s School in Lemsford.

On the 6th July staff at Garden City Court, our care home in Letchworth Garden City, took a number of residents out for a day trip to Southend-on-Sea.

Vesta Lodge, one of our care homes in St. Albans, held a Fine Dining event on Friday 30th June. These events take place across our homes and are designed to give residents the opportunity to enjoy a fine dining experience without having to leave the home.

A number of our homes were very keen to celebrate Pride this year and they did so with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Mountbatten Lodge, our care home in Hemel Hempstead, took a group of residents for their annual trip to Whipsnade Zoo on Saturday. The home is located on Old Crabtree Lane and the trip was part of a very busy schedule of activities and events that are run by the Care Team.

Armed Forces Day gives communities right across the UK an opportunity to show their support for the men and women who make up the UK’s armed forces.

Dementia Action Week is a campaign organised by the Alzheimer’s Society designed to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. This year’s topic is “Diagnosis”, chosen by the society due to the sustained drop in dementia diagnosis rates.

Mantles Court, our care home in Biggleswade, boasts a number of keen gardeners among its residents and now that the winter has faded they’ve decided to start up a gardening club.
