    Priscilia Okwuka

    Priscilia Okwuka

    General Manager

    Our Oakmoor Lodge team is led by Priscilia Okwuka. Following a career in financial management, Priscilia began working in Social Care in 2007, and has been a registered Care Home Manager since 2014. Priscilia holds an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care as well as an NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.

    Priscilia is passionate about using her knowledge and experience to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, where they are recognised as individuals and given every opportunity to pursue their interests and offered a range of meaningful activities. She enjoys leading a care team that is valued, fully committed, well-trained and enthusiastic in advancing in their chosen career.

    Deputy Home Manager

    The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy Managers will each bring their unique skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to providing the best of everything for their residents.

    The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.

    With over 20 years’ experience within the Care Home sector, I fully understand just how challenging it can be looking for a care home. My role is as the first point of contact, to help you navigate your way to making the best care decisions and to support you through the move in process. I am passionate about ensuring our residents live the best quality of life, in a caring, supportive environment at Oakmoor Lodge.

    Keeping the team of Housekeepers running as it should is the Housekeeping Manager. Supervising and organising their teams is just part of their role as these managers work alongside their team to keep the home clean and inviting. The team play an important role in maintaining our infection prevention and control standards to make sure our residents stay safe and well.

    I have worked for Quantum care for many years. I enjoy my role as the home administrator as I am able to interact with both the residents and their families on a daily basis, whilst providing support to all of my colleagues to keep the home running smoothly.

    The Receptionist plays a key part in keeping the home operating as it should. The role involves everything from dealing with phone enquiries to showing around prospective residents. Organisational and communication skills are a must for a Receptionist as it’s these qualities that allow them to make life in the home easier for their colleagues and residents. Often the first person you’ll speak to when you come to the home, the Receptionist represents the company with a professional manner, friendly approach, and commitment to high-quality care.
